Gatwick is to trial Robot Valet parking this summer. A electric powered robot will collect your car from the car park entrance, it will then using military grade Satellite navigation park it in a much smaller space. This means that more cars can be put in the the same car park footprint, Also this will provide  more security as there will not be enough room between cars for a person to open the doors.

The car has a number of modes that allows it to move over a variety of terrain, giving it  multi role capabilities.
